Swallowed

This is my part in One Shot Wednesday
Please visit some of these beautiful Peeps

BECKONING SEA
TAKE ME

Gazing at the water's swirl
I see the paths of the world
This way...maybe that
Up, down or maybe not

Where do I look to see
You. Which direction to
Face?
Around my ankles the water
Seems to race
And begin
To drag me in

Are you in cold or warm?
Only could I take your arm
And with you flee
To go safely
To that place
Of peace
Understanding
Forgiveness
Tolerant happiness
And patient love

WOW a sensitive soul are thee, est-ce de la grande poesie.

Love your poem nothing amateurish here but then again you know that, it is as beautiful as the photograph of the sea.

Cheers,
Joanny

Steve, this has to be one of the most beautiful pieces I have ever read from you! Very soul-searching... very profound. We all seek peace... and understanding... and forgiveness (and that last is always the most difficult to find, it seems). So often, the sea is a mirror for our souls. Is it any wonder we find our thoughts drifting when we are by the water?

I loved every word you wrote here... expressed as if from the deepest gut of your gut... no, not as if. Very very beautiful, Steve! When you write... I listen.

Hugs to you,
Nevine

I love this more than you will ever know Steve. I could sit by the sea and watch for hours in amazement. When I have a lot on my mind thats where I like to think and work my problems out...The sea just does so much for my soul...

It seems we have more in common than music. Thank you for coming by my place.
The ocean is such a panacea. I like the idea of going with the sea and not having it devour you. A sense of traveling to a place of calm and serenity. At least that's how I read it.Lovely work.
I know you have a wonderful place there in Naples to make music! So beautiful there. Thanks for linking and allowing me to read.

Forgiveness is always part of it. I like the cadence of "Gazing at the water's swirl/I see paths of the world..."
