ONE SHOT Wednesday--CHAIR IN THE WINDOW

Boats on Naples Bay
One gigantic mirror
Smooth, clear, unruffled
Every sound muffled

Overcast day, bit of fog
Unusual for sunny Naples
A Fish jumped, making waves
In ever-outreaching circles.

THE BAY:

Naples bay is Gulf water's extension
Which is reaching out to all, even me.
Nestled In sweet right arm of the sea
Is south-most of this peninsula.

Olde City of Naples:
And it is where I ought to be
At this moment viewing through picture window

Work of The Master Who created artists--
Who created art! Sitting,
Sitting! I could not stand. (This vistaed glory!)

The dentist's chair swings around,
Two over me hover,
Smooth, clear, unruffled
And every sound--muffled

What an unusual and creative poem, and a great (if disturbing) picture to go with it.

The picture bugged me out immediately, bringing back nightmares of a root canal. But then, it's like whatever the dentist gave me finally kicked in and... a beautiful poem emerges making the reader forget the image until the perception of those sounds return. Incredibly imaginative. Wow

Really cool interesting and a little funny in one go! Loved the picture you gave of Naples and clever the way you turned it to go with your image. Good work, Steve. Thanks for your extremely kind comments at my place. Gay @beachanny

Thanks for reminding me...I am overdue for a cleaning!...Wish my dentist was in Naples.

Any view from an Old Naples window is better than this one, even that of a dowager draped in conspicuous consumption, blindly maneuvering her silver Mercedes into a "No Parking" spot on 3rd Street S.

I like Naples, especially where the Reserve is on Keywadin Island. It is a great place, but I suppose it is getting more and more developed. I don't like the view from the dentist's chair.

Nice teeth! Did you shrink yourself and went inside someone's mouth? Heheheh.

Mr. Roni, our new BBB leaf mobile is up and we are flying!

such deep reflections while seated on a dentist's chair... i don't blame you though. a visit to the dentist would surely make me wish i was somewhere else. nice shot on the prompt!

I am so due for the dentist. Any month now I'll go.

Hubby and I love Florida's west coast. When we were 6 months pregnant we had a nice little tour. The Edison- Ford estate was a highlight. And as I recall, don't all the stop signs in Naples have crown molding on them? I think it was Naples! Looked more than spiffy.

And hey, really liking your header pic a lot -- when I make your sidebar button this week I'll use it -- thanks for an easy pleasing graphic, Steveroni!

Hi Steve,
I'm back to thank you for your kind comment at my latest post about my grandson Forerunner.

I meant to invite you, if you had time, to read my recent post (before the FOrerunner one) entitled Shalom.

Deep level healing is an area in our spiritual journey that I sincerely believe in...maybe you would want to leave behind your personal insights? Thanks... no pressure at all. Only if you want to.

Blessings
