ONE SHOT WEDNESDAY -- SEA-LOVE

ONE SHOT WEDNESDAY

LOVING THE SEA

LOVE THE SEA

Sea of blue-hued beauty
Standing here before you
With respect, admiration
To give you, and love
Yes, love

It is said peace and happiness
(Sometimes warily sharing),
Are those keys to
The door of fulfillment
What of love?

Constant flowing of giving,
GIFTING the unsuspecting
This is the clue
I give you
It's called love

Thank you, oh ocean-body
Huge of water and life
You rage and tumble about
Yet suffer not from strife
I accept your love.

You are my friend, teacher:
Blues of the sweetest hues
Before you I stand erect
In awe and in respect
And in love

And I give you...
Me

CANDY IS DANDY

HERSHEY HAIKU

I shiver and shake
Until my craving is slaked
With sweet Hershey Bar

Oh! Chocolate, my lover
One I cannot bear without
Let me taste you once more

Just one little square
Which I can melt on my tongue
That's all I now dare

Lick and suck and smile
Every thing is OKAY
The rest of today

I hear you say what?
Body, are you telling me
Now you want some more...?

MAGPIE 33 BODY SCENT!

Go to MAGPIE TALES for more, and/or to
take part in the 'nearly-no-rules' fun!

FOUR HAIKU
FOR YOU

what beautiful tones

this violin, only when

played by a violinist

the mighty old oak

no longer is so great if

no one is to see

A poem utters

only its nonsenses when

nobody to read

Parfum-- is useless

to the sweet loveliness of

your body so bare

FLASH 55 FRIDAY--TAKE MY EVERYTHING

THE FOLLOWING GRAPHIC IS

AN AIRPORT BAGGAGE SCAN

TAKE MY RUBIES AND TAKE MY PEARLS
TAKE MY CAMELS AND ALL MY GIRLS
Rhumba lessons I want them for
The Rich Maharaja of Magador

(MY '55')

Give up your money

Line up over here.

Yes, you too, Honey

(Wipe off that sneer)

Empty your pockets

Take off your shoes

Hand me the locket

Talk, and you lose

Also your belt

Ooooh! I'm being 'felt'

Step right along now, Ma'am

And go right through...

Now boarding, Gate D-22".

Swallowed

This is my part in One Shot Wednesday
Please visit some of these beautiful Peeps

BECKONING SEA
TAKE ME

Gazing at the water's swirl
I see the paths of the world
This way...maybe that
Up, down or maybe not

Where do I look to see
You. Which direction to
Face?
Around my ankles the water
Seems to race
And begin
To drag me in

Are you in cold or warm?
Only could I take your arm
And with you flee
To go safely
To that place
Of peace
Understanding
Forgiveness
Tolerant happiness
And patient love

Random Love Poem

This is my part in One Shot Wednesday
Please visit some of these beautiful Peeps

RANDOM POEM FOR LOVERS

 WHAT THEN?

So, the meeting takes its place
Planned long ago
Concocted, contrived
To be face-to-face
Either none...or

One-on-One.

This is not longer fun
As was the intention
Almost it seems to run
As just something to mention

By-and-By.

"Ya, I done dat
Even been dere
Und ya, ve sat
Right in dat chair."

Hour-by-Hour.

Seeing in your eyes
Will be when I
Remember December
And all those others

Month-by-Month.

Within those eyes is seen a soul
Where much beauty resides
Beauty after which I lusted
And which I had not trusted

Nearly-not-so-Nearly.

If words which tell
Come to me today
I might wish to--well,
You know... wish to say

(Wishing-Hoping-Loving.)

How I may describe the range
Of this love for mon Cheri.
Oh dearest, we must change--
Of jealousy we need be wary

It kills. It kills LOVE.

One thing every Peep to know
"...can only reap what you sow"
So 'from this moment on' I'll go
With new enthusiasm, to fly

Up-and-Up
Away-and-Away.

As we forgive and forget
There is no way to expect
Oracle, nor Miracle
But only what God will let

Happen...Happen!

What then? You (and I) ask--
When what happens,
Happens--or not
Do we brood or bask?

What then? What then?

Ever, for all, the
Key word is then
And then is when
We both will know

Is 'love' really 'love'?

If the answer is "Yes!"
Then our beautiful,
Exciting troubles begin.
If "No!" is response by

One. Or one other

Not the end
No, not the end.
NEVER the end
But re-enter...
Enter again!

Real true name Is

 SUNDAY 160
THE LEGS HAVE IT!

Before me
I watch her swing constantly
One crossed-over leg
In never-ending
Steady beat.

Why does this bother me?
Is it that pistol outlined
Under her skirts?

MAGPIE 32 Cannot breathe...

This was inspired by Willow's blog
Magpie Tales.  Please visit HERE
for more creative poems, stories etc!
And join us for simple, nearly-rule-free FUN!

"Cough...Cough"

MAGPIE 32

How the hell did I get in here?
WHAT brought me to this place?
It is stifling
I cannot smell
I can't taste
I cannot SEE
Cough...cough...
I cannot breathe
Shall I even LIVE?

Last thing I remember
...Draining the tequila bottle
(Gulp!) What was that?
A squirrming worming thing.
Oh well.

Short-skirted female then said *C'mon
Dive into the pool with me*.
Couldn't resist
I jumped
Laughter
She did not

There was no 'splash'
Just all this sand in
Which I'm now
Up-to-my-neck buried.

Here is a terrible
Sensation of being pulled
Down, down, down,
Like sucked almost
Into a small chute
A hurricane-like vortex

Oops, now over my head!
I'm covered. Feeling feint.
Like snug-as--a---bug
----in----a-----rug.

Hey! (Crawling for dear life!)
Maybe that's because I AM
A bug. (hic!)

TRIBUTE TO CELEBRATE
ONE YEAR OF FRIENDSHIP
TO MY BEST BLOGGER FRIEND,
DULCE...
AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

She who writes for others
Her thoughts
So beautiful...
In forms of Sweeter poetry

Completely discernible to most,
And to others maybe not

(Like me) who have got
No clue as what's meant
No idea why words bent

This way...that way.
But anyway...
It IS.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
Dear Dulce-Girl...

JUDGE NOT LEST YE BE JUDGED

CALL TO JUDGMENT

HERE HE COMES--THE JUDGE!

Only when I am elected by a majority vote of the people, may I be considered a judge--HA! Talk about a cold day in hell--(grinning!)  And then only after I have sifted through information, evidence, and supporting law and scrutinized testimony of witnesses, might I be able to make judgment, subject to review and higher judgments.

My 7 AM AA meeting yesterday was on the topic, 'Judging Others', and it got me to thinking how frequently I do just that. I can look across a crowded room, spot someone's eyes looking at another Peep. Immediately I know what they each are thinking, and I make a mental judgment decision-call of their behavior, past, present and future.

I have not been correct in those assessments one single time in all these years.

It is for me to judge only the ACTIONS, BEHAVIOR of others in the light of what I KNOW. (Or think I know!)

It is not within my 'right' to judge another PERSON. I CANNOT know exactly 'who' that person really is, except based on my own 'mirror' image, right? I have not lived any life but my own.

Being human, as I SO am...I judge, and judge, and judge when a Peep talks, or 'shares'. How Prideful, this kind of behavior. It deprives me of EVER hearing what God might be using that Peep to say to me. It also diminishes my own credibility in the performance of helping another.

Crap, I did not mean to get on a soapbox here. Maybe if I just quit gossiping (and only 'judge a little bit'?--grin!)

ATTRACTION--NOT PROMOTION

WHO BUT 'US' WOULD KNOW THAT "EASY DOES IT" MEANS ALSO "DOIT"!!

ADV FOR SOBER? I THINK NOT--grin!

The following story has happened
over and again in Naples, and on
my scooter rides along the coast:

AN UNCOMMON OCCURRENCE?

At an AA meeting recently, one man--who looked like he needed a drink (Steve, do not judge!--GRIN!) OK, the man said:

"...these people who put AA slogan 'stickers' on the back of their cars...who do they think they are?  We do not 'advertise' here. They are prideful, ignorant! those who display their Alcoholics Anonymous affiliation in public...ETC."

OK, Peeps, I am here to say that many years of drinking, and many years of being sober (36) in AA, I have earned the right to be wrong, also the right to disagree--as maybe with a friend.

Two days after the man made the above statement I was filling my truck tank with gas. It was already dark night, and I was on my way to an 8:30 PM meeting. A man and a woman approached me, told me they noticed my sticker EASY DOES IT, and were hoping (praying?--grin!) that I could direct them to an AA meeting.

Guess what! After the meeting we spent a wonderful two hours in a Starbucks Coffee House which was open until midnight. I have not seen them since then. They were "on the road" (HA! I know what THAT'S like, you betchum, Red Ryder!).

If you believe our meeting was just chance, well then, 'chance' is my new word for "being touched by an angel" for that is how I felt all the next day. It was for me, another of those many mini spiritual experiences.

With YOU--SOBER, today.
With YOU--LOVE, today
With YOU--PEACE, today

ANOTHER MOVING STORY!

  A year ago she said
"I think I'm alcoholic"

Some months later she asked me
"Do you think I'm an alcoholic?"

Last night she
Walked into her
First AA meeting.

REMEMBER?

REMEMBER?

On radio
Came news
Alleged attack
Set world aback.

Nine O'clock
What a shock
To very foundations of
Us and many nations

Buildings tall,
Peeps so small
Sent crashing and sliding
In and on themselves

Jumping, diving,
Flying, driving,
Talking, walking,
Sleeping, Dreaming,
Buying, lying
Trying, crying,
Living,
--Dying.

It was real,
It was personal.
Anger, Sadness,
Horror and more

Out in the street and
Behind locked doors,
Strangers meet--
Waiting on top floors

For death to happen
In awfullest, useless
Hellish hatefulness.

God have mercy on
All the souls
Afflicted,
Affected...

Please heal wounds
Of Nation and World
As more than millions
Of flags unfurled

God help us do
What obviously
We cannot by
Ourselves alone.

--Alone.....To

Forgive--
Let live.
But not let
Ever forget.

WHY AM I ALWAYS WITH ME?

WHO ARE YOU?

One who is always
Hangin' around me
Is me.

How can I rid
Myself of...
Me

Maybe the way
Is to fool
Me

To think I'm another
Thus transferring
Me...to thee.

Then this day
I may say
Why are you
Hangin' round
Me?

--Steve

THIS IS MY FIRST One Shot Wednesday
