SUNDAY 160 CRASH

FLY AWAY TODAY?

Four engines
Fuel-mega-drops spew
Off-and up we flew
What sweet memory

The view
Moon above
Sea below

Chaos reigned
Water's cold
Stomach of mine
Full of brine

I love to fly and this job loss has curtailed that so much. I can't wait to board that plane for New Orleans on Thursday!! Great poem.

WOW, this one has many facets. I read it over and over and I'm still not sure I can't find another facet the next time through!

Yikes! Hope you listened to the safety lecture!

I don't fly and your last stanza puts into words exactly why I don't fly. I will close my eyes and use your 160 to imagine myself up in the air, though, because in my imagination, I am the pilot. ::I have control issues:: :-D

Steveroni, you and I are "flying" today except my featured transporter does not crash. What is going on? Why the heavy heart. Talk to me! Tsup!

Well done. I can't think about those things (like how a 600,000-pound object can stay up in the air) when flying or I never would. Fly, I mean.

Now that's a story and a half in 160 - well done!

I think that chaos does reign on many airlines these days. I would rather go by horse and buggy.

Oh dear Steveroni, the picture is lovely, a common view for me as I go on airplanes many times a month.

But your poem...is it an imagined story, or is it one that actually happened to you?
