WHEN WORDS AREN'T ENOUGH
2nd FIFTY-FIVE:
He called.
We talked.
We planned.
We met.
He said, "Will you sponsor me?"
I said, "I thought you'd never ask."
New job.
Picked him up at work.
Went to meeting.
He has Big Book.
He loves Big Book.
We talked about:
Doctor's Opinion,
And today being
One more day
We are happy
For guidance.

You Rock Brother...

Thanks Steve. Always good to see an old timer willing to guide a newcomer.
Good to know someone to walk with... Gone for a poem this week based on the Etheree form created about twenty years ago by an Arkansas poet named Etheree Taylor Armstrong It normally consists of ten lines of unmetered and unrhymed verse, the first line having one syllable, each succeeding line adding a syllable. I added an extra row for the word count and the punch line. See what I mean here.
I am so happy for you.
You are so kind to be his sponsor.
Be well.
Great 55s!
hugs

You are a super guy, Steve!! And 70 isn't too late - maybe for a few things but most of those I am glad I left behind!! Are you wanting to write poetry, or what? Seems like you are doing plenty!
And so you get the chance to give back and enjoy the rewards of supporting another. Cool.
Enjoyed your 55's. Mine is up at http://bit.ly/8dt963. Have a great weekend!

Hello! Excellent 55! This really took me on a wonderful realization, once again...
I also loved your 'about me', very beautifully written!
Also, Brian M's Tues. story, I'd missed it, but do follow him and I believe as you do about those words, profoundly blessed to hear/read them too. Will share them as well. Thank you for the prompt there.
Nice to meet you! And also, thank you for stopping by.
:)
I am starting to get to understand why everybody loves my dear sweetest peep,
Just because that's exactly what you are!
hugs and :)

Nice. Support is a wonderful thing to pay forward.
After reading your profile I think it's great that you are at the point where you can help someone else in the same situation. You told so much in 55 words - well done on your achievements and welcome to Flash 55!
Thanks for taking the time to read me 55 and comment. :)
Loved your 55!
Thanx for visiting and reading mine.
To support and be supported... it is what we all need, hope for and deserve. Such a lovely post!
Everyone needs guidance at one time or the other.
Great that you are there for him in his hour of need.
Have a nice weekend.
Take a nap before you go to sleep ;)
A wonderful 55 ... it helps so much to have the support of someone whom has walked a mile (or many a mile) in the same shoes!! Having another to care for you through changes like this means so very, very much! :)
Good grief! What a challenge and you were up to it. Very sharp Mr. Steveroni!
