COFFEE SHOP WITH A MISSION STATEMENT

On the corner of the HAZELDON TREATMENT CENTER--NAPLES

Take a peek at new Hazeldon in Naples, Florida. Top left photo (in link) is the "Coffee Corner", by that palm on the right is where I park my scooter daily. I have NO affiliation with HAZELDON. Simply I buy a cup of (REALLY GooooD!) coffee, and chat with the Peeps who come and go. It is a fun way to relax for an hour or two, and also occasionally "Pass The Message" (of recovery).  And also "receive" that message--grin!

I just wrote a short poem in honor of...BARISTA and friend, John W.

There is a new place
In Naples Florida
Where peeps come to face
Problems personal--like LIVING!

On the corner, a Coffee Shop
Big easy chair
And that is where
One can see steveroni plop
"MY" chair, if I get there early--opens 7 AM-2:30 PM
 I sit there, aware
Of Peeps' Afflictions
Of Peeps' Addictions
'Cause I been there.

It's called "HAZEL'S CUP"
Peeps meet and say "Wa-sup"?
We discuss old times and new...
We might even talk about--YOU!
If recovery could happen simply by reading, "THE CUP" is the place to be....
Peeps, this is a thumbnail of one small part of my day. Hope you enjoyed the quick tour.
"And all Peeps on the ships at sea--
When you pray at night, think of me."
 --steveroni

Oh Steveroni, I reckon I would love to sit back, have a chat & enjoy a coffee at your favorite hang out. I agree with Carol, every town needs a place like Hazeldon's!!

Wonderful, Steve. Looks like a great place for a cup of coffee. A couple of times, when I've stopped in Sarasota to visit a friend, then headed on to Miami for a cruise, I drove past Naples but never stopped. If I ever do that again, I'll have to plan it so I can rendevous with you for a cup of coffee!

I love, love cafés and coffee houses like the one you have described. I can quite happily spend my entire day in one: reading, writing, thinking, enjoying a smooth espresso and, if I'm honest, people watching! I find them such inspirational and creative places. Glad to know you share my fondness for them. Wishing you all the best, Steveroni :D

Delightful ~~ your poem! Life is easy way down there in Naples. I can just picture you sitting in that coffee shop 'shooting the breeze' as my father used to say! I have spent a lot of time in Naples ~ not at Hazelden ... on the beach!

Nice coffee shop! There's nothing like finding a new cozy coffee shop, and to know it's geared for those in recovery is awesome!

HELEN:
I have spent 45 years in Naples. A lot of them at the beach. For some time I lived ON the beach! I am so glad you came by. Thank you!

SHERI:
Thursday morning, the coffee is "on you"...but I will buy it, OK? LOL!

EM:
You are so nice with words to gladden others' hearts. Yep it's a nice place to be either Hazel's Cup, or NAPLES FL., I feel like a winner each day on awakening.

Actually I AM a winner, but that's another story...

BRIAN:
Ya got THAT right! Thanks for everything, YOU!

SAM:
One day soon, I'll take my violin to that place, and maybe be sorry, if I will then have to do it every day! I enjoy SO much playing in coffee shops, or softly behind poetry readings, like "mood music".

RNSANE:
A "Rendezvous"? YESSSS! Oh the images that brings--I used to view old films...loved them. Lots of Rendezvous then...Glad to see you here.

KATHERINE:
Yes, every town needs them, and most now have them--coffee shops I mean--grin! And ALSO Treatment Centers for addicts....Yep!

CAROL:
YEP! Hi there, girl! Don't worry, it will get cold again soon

After my last few months at work, this is exactly the kind of place I need to relax and unwind. Beautiful, and thanks for sharing. I wouldn't mind meeting you there for coffee and conversation...if only it were on the east coast of FL.

Love places like that!

I thought of you on my recent trip. There was a young girl playing the violin on Church Street and I will probably include her when I post about my trip. She played beautifully and on another day another violin player, though she was just getting her feet wet and though you could tell she was still learning, it was so awesome to see her out on the street performing. Her friend played the Cello and you know what the cello does to me.

So none of that had anything to do with your post, but hey in a way it did, ...;)

Dear Steveroni: Consider yourself in my prayers! Good to have a funky hangout! And some cool books too! I love doing a crawl of the baritas! Has a lovely feel to it and gives a refreshing sense of being immersed in a cosmically conscious society or at least one that loves coffee and meeting for coffee with friends! Nice to chat!
