FLASH 55 FRIDAY--TAKE MY EVERYTHING

THE FOLLOWING GRAPHIC IS

AN AIRPORT BAGGAGE SCAN

TAKE MY RUBIES AND TAKE MY PEARLS
TAKE MY CAMELS AND ALL MY GIRLS
Rhumba lessons I want them for
The Rich Maharaja of Magador

(MY '55')

Give up your money

Line up over here.

Yes, you too, Honey

(Wipe off that sneer)

Empty your pockets

Take off your shoes

Hand me the locket

Talk, and you lose

Also your belt

Ooooh! I'm being 'felt'

Step right along now, Ma'am

And go right through...

"Flight 7080 to Amsterdam

Now boarding, Gate D-22".

They could do anything to me except I don't like taking off my shoes. The germs. LOLOLOL

"Pop...goes the weasel" is my link to my 55...just scroll down below the Halloween part. I do hope you can find time to visit with me! Have a super Friday, and a blessed weekend.

A DAFT SCOTS LASS: I'm not gonna touch that--er...well, I mean GO THERE!

SUSANNAH: Glad you stopped by..Have a great weekend!

BRIAN: "Felt that"...Hey that's good! Did you make that up?--grin!

ANNIE: Been over to see you. Did not stay long. GERMS, you know...LOL

Love the rhyme! You have really rumbled this scene! Have a 'goodie-oh' weekend-
( as a favorite aunt of mine used to say)

Like this! I loved the "rythmn" I felt when I was reading it. Like it sort of dances along, but I do not like all the "undressing" one has to do at the airports these days, but I love to fly, so we'll take the good with the bad. Have a super steveroni weekend :)

this is so cool - your writing so often makes me smile steve - and cheers me up…smiles

RNSANE said...

Very clever - and, if only I were still working, I would MOST GLADLY go through all that security to be able to travel again. I miss it so much!!!

It sounds like a Bob Dylan tune. I bet you could sing that 55 too.
I think that I would rather travel by mule train these days.

HA!
You are finally 'OUTED'...
Steven Zimmerman from Hibbing Minnesota, Bob Dylan's Older Brother!
You are indeed just like a Rolling Stone!
loved your 55.
thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End...G

IZZY: "Rumble...rumble!"

DRY BOTTOM: Yesss! If everyone would go to the airport naked, we'd not have to endure those scanning processes.

CLAUDIA: If nothing more ever comes as a result of my blogging, I could not wish for more that "smiling
--and cheering up" Thank you. Yours this week is magnificent!

RNSANE: Yep we both DO enjoy some of the same delights here! Like traveling. But not ending up with someone else's shoes!!!

SYD: You are so RIGHT--I can sing that song all the way through
--to the bitter end--grin!

G-Man: Older BROTHER? Oh brother, where have *I* been?

An airport experience so many of us can relate to, Steveroni! Cleverly written, and with a wonderful rhythm. A very enjoyable 55 :)

sadly, that's about how it is these days... even so, I was prepared for a more dire ending - making for a truly awesome 55!

steveroni said...

SAM LIU: Awww, you always write the nicest words of support to us Peeps.
Thanks!

GOSPELWRITER: Doggone it, I just didn't feel 'dire' I guess. I'm not much into explosions, unless it is in a movie format. I COULD write a sequel??? Next week?

You are so right, and in just a few words, too! Airport experience, nothing to look forward to, takes the joy out of traveling...but nevertheless, I won't let them steal my joy.

You are good with rhymes and rhythms... it is the music inside of you. I can almost hear these lines as a song.

You're funny with that "felt" bit. Ha!

Read back on your other posts as well!

Blessings,
Lidj

BKM: Thank God those cannon are loaded with duds. And thank YOU for dropping by!

MONKEY MAN: It's called "'AIRWAY ROBBERY!"

CARRIE BURRT: It is fun to see YOU here, Carrie. Thanks!

Momma Zen: You've BEEN there?

CROWN OF BEAUTY: LIDJ, you are so supportive, and I sure appreciate that. You are a favorite Peep over here in Florida. PEACE!

LOL.
I haven't been on a plane since 1989.
It seems a lot has changed since then. :)

Thanks for doing Friday 55! :)

Mine's been posted here since last night, but it's taken me this long to visit and leave comments. Sorry about that.

PattiKen said...

Sigh. I remember when flying was exciting and fun. And they even gave you lunch,

steveroni said...

JANNA...went to yours this morning. Thanks for visit, and it's my belief that here on the www (What a Wonderful World) Internet, it is not possible to be late. EVER!

PATTI KEN: Now, those little pillows are "for rent"...can ya beat that?
Oh well ZZZZzzzzzzzzzz...

I'm thinking this may be why I prefer to arrive by car. Well done!

This might explain why I never fly. Great 55!
